How to Properly Press RAPID FILM™ DTF Transfers
RAPID FILM™ Direct-to-Film (DTF) Transfers provide a high-quality, durable, and vibrant print solution for apparel customization. To ensure optimal adhesion and longevity, follow these precise application steps when pressing your transfers.
Required Equipment & Materials
Heat Press
RAPID FILM™ DTF Transfer
Garment (cotton, polyester, blends, etc.)
Teflon sheet or parchment paper (optional)
Pressing Instructions
Step 1: Pre-Press the Garment
Before applying the transfer, pre-press the garment for 3-5 seconds at 290°F. This removes moisture and wrinkles, ensuring a smooth surface for adhesion.
Step 2: First Press (Transfer Application)
- Position the RAPID FILM™ DTF Transfer on the garment with the design facing up.
- Set the heat press to 290°F (143°C) with medium to firm pressure.
- Press the transfer for 10 seconds.
- Carefully remove the garment from the press and allow it to cool before peeling.
Step 3: Peel & Second Press (Final Cure)
- Once the transfer has cooled completely, gently peel the carrier sheet off.
- Place a Teflon sheet or parchment paper over the design.
- Press the garment again at 290°F (143°C) for 10 seconds to enhance durability and wash resistance.
Final Touches
- Allow the garment to cool before handling or folding.
- For best results, recommend washing the garment inside out and avoiding harsh detergents.
